Scene 2: How To Train Your Dragon

Hello Everyone!

I must apologise for the misleading title, I am not going to teach you how to train your dragon. (Sorry Hagrid)

Instead I am going to talk about the setting and location of DreamWorks's How To Train Your Dragon. How To Train Your Dragon was set on a small Viking island named Berk both in the film and the movie. The island of Berk that we see in the movie is a beautiful island with the rocky arches cliffs, beaches, waterfalls, streams and several large forests.

So why did the author Cressida Cowell chose the island of Berk as the setting for her book and movie?
Well, It is based on an uninhabited island on the west of Scotland that Cressida used to visit when she was a child

Therefore the small Viking village on Berk would have been familiar setting for her. That's how she was able to describe the Hairy Hooligan tribe living on their island so well and why that movie was set there.
And scene,

That's a wrap!

Scene 1: Intro!

Hello Everybody.

Calling all movie lover's in the universe! Movies make you laugh and cry (some more than other's). However, what people don't realise how the geography of the movie affects it so much! Especially in Animated movies with there sometimes surreal settings. So I have taken it upon myself to watch a movie every week and see how the geography behind it either makes or breaks it!

And scene. That's a wrap :)
