The Triplets of Belleville
My next film is set in the beautiful country of France, however what makes this one interesting is that it was an international co-production with companies from France, the United Kingdom, Belgium, and Canada.
This film has a unique French charm and the animation is completely different from Japanese Anime and American films. The animation is almost satirical and the surreal details are oddly charming and make the characters more lovable.The movie is set in Belleville, Paris which literally means "Beautiful town" so you can understand why they chose this area. It has also been the set of non-animated movies such as The Bourne identity, Madame Rosa and The Red Balloon. It also features Tour de France one of the main characters is a cyclist.
